About

I’m a natural resource sociologist, forester, and licensed plant dealer, helping landowners and communities learn about, understand, manage, celebrate and protect their culture, their property and their options.

Three projects have kept me very busy during the past decades:

  1. College instruction in Natural Resource Conservation, Geographic Information Systems, Botany, and the Earth Sciences.
  2. Grow Auburn’s Trees! – a community forestry partnership for Auburn, New York that I support as community forester – check us out on FaceBook.
  3. DogWood Meadows, our family forest farm in Sterling, New York.  Here I am restoring abandoned farm land, and building a native plant nursery and bio-shelter in Cayuga County’s Ag District No. 5.

Please join in the adventure, and tell me how I can support your work.
